Our various sales and marketing organisations have long
tradition in serving customers.
| Norway The Norwegian operations have developed along two different lines. One started 1897 (Carl Hartwig AS) in Bergen, serving the health care sector in the western part of Norway. It stayed local until 1974 when full coverage was achieved. This line brought medical products and knowledge to the primary and hospital market segments. The other line was established in 1936 (Reidar Holmsen AS) in Oslo. Main activity was within in vitro diagnostics and labarotary equipment. As from 1987 it was renamed Medinor. The two lines were merged together in 1996, creating the base of our Norwegian operation of today. Medinor AS became a member of Axis-Shield plc. in 1999. | Denmark, Finland and Sweden Our operations in Denmark, Finland and Sweden were started in the 1960`s (Nyegaard & Co, later Nycomed), marketing and selling coagulation reagents and in vitro diagnostic to the clinical chemistry laboratories and laboratories within primary health care. Through the Axis-Shield acquisition of Nycomed diagnostics in 2000 we became a part of Medinor group. Since 2000 we have enlarged our product porfolio of third party products considerable. We have both the position and the organisation to succesfully introduce new products in our markets. |
